Is your mattress still in good condition?

What is the best course of action: to throw it away, burn it or leave it to gather dust in your attic?

Neither of these options is optimal or environmentally friendly. If your mattress is still in good condition, it may be of use to someone else. In this case, second-hand shops will be delighted to collect it. If it is too worn, you can dispose of it for free at a recycling centre.

Also note that some retailers will collect your old mattress free of charge when you buy a new one. However, they may also charge for transport.

Are you going to give your used mattress a new life?

If your mattress cannot be reused, it will be completely taken apart and recycled. Its materials will be converted into, among other things, judo mats, car dashboards, thermal and acoustic insulation and sometimes even cow comfort mats, enabling Daisy to spare her knees.
