Is your mattress still in good condition?

Consider reuse! If your mattress is still in good condition, it may be of use to someone else, in which case, a second-hand shop will be happy to take it.

Give them a visit as they are best placed to determine whether your mattress is still reusable.

Is your mattress in poor condition?

If your mattress is stained or its seams are damaged, you will need to take it to a recycling centre. Make sure it is dry and whole to ensure it can be recycled.

Depositing your mattress with a retailer

Some retailers are willing to collect your old mattress free of charge when you buy a new one. However, this service is not compulsory and may involve transport costs.

Retailers who work with Valumat ensure the maximum recycling of your used mattress. If your mattress is still in good condition, they can also offer it to a thrift shop.

Are you going to give your used mattress a new life?

If your mattress cannot be reused, it will be completely taken apart and recycled. Its materials will be converted into, among other things, judo mats, car dashboards, thermal and acoustic insulation and sometimes even cow comfort mats, enabling Daisy to spare her knees.
